第23單元 按部就班
As a young woman, I believe that life would be interesting and always exciting. Then, one day I found myself in a job I didn't like and doing activities that I found very uninteresting and unexciting. Instead of making a life for me, I took what came to me.
身為年輕的女性, 我相信生活應(yīng)該是有趣且永遠(yuǎn)刺激的。有一天,我發(fā)現(xiàn)我并不喜歡現(xiàn)在的工作,所有活動變得無趣且不刺激。我任人擺布,沒有自己的生活。
I decided I need a change, but change seemed so scary. I wasn't sure of the course of action I needed to take to make the changes I wanted, and that frightened me. I had an end goal in my mind, but I didn't know how to get there.
我決定我需要改變,可是改變似乎很可怕,我不確定需要采取哪些行動,才能得到我要的改變。這點使我很害怕。在我心中有個終極目標(biāo),可是我不知道該如何達(dá)成。
One day, I took the first step, and when I did, I found I asked all the right questions. Once my question were answered, the next step always appeared. When something challenginghappened, I didn't procrastinate. I just broke the problem down into parts.
有天我踏出第一步,當(dāng)我這么做時,我發(fā)覺我提出了所有適當(dāng)?shù)膯栴},等到所有問題獲得解答,下一步總是會出現(xiàn)。遇到挑戰(zhàn)時,我不會拖延,我將問題分成好幾部分。
Before I began taking steps, my ideas seemed imposssible, but it was actually very easy to make changes once I started!
在我開始采取行動前,我的想法似乎是不可能的,可是當(dāng)我一旦開始,要改變其實是件很容易的事!
