　　A: It is difficult for me to communicate with my colleagues. I am too shy.

　　1. 解詞釋義

　　Rub是“摩擦”的意思，elbow是“手肘”的意思。從字面上看，rub elbows with sb. 的意思是“與......手肘摩擦”，引申為“與某人挨得很近”之意，也就是說(shuō)出去和別人多多接觸和交流。

　　2. 拓展例句

　　e.g. Charged so fully with his mission, he has not rubbed elbows with anybody.

　　因?yàn)橐恍南胫约旱氖姑?，所以他不愿意和任何人接觸。

　　e.g. He is an officer who ought to rub elbow with people of all sorts.

　　他是一個(gè)應(yīng)該接觸各色各樣人的官員。

　　e.g. As I see it, rubbing elbow with people are very important in modern life.

　　Ps 2：make contacts的意思是“建立關(guān)系，建立聯(lián)系”。例如：

　　She asked me to give over my room for some comrades to make contacts.

　　她曾讓我把我的房間讓給一些同志作接頭之用。

　　This internship can offer me a great opportunity to meet people and make contacts.

　　這項(xiàng)實(shí)習(xí)可以為我提供一個(gè)認(rèn)識(shí)人和接觸人的機(jī)會(huì)。

　　Ps 3：表示“做某事對(duì)于某人來(lái)說(shuō)很重要。”這個(gè)意思，用下面這個(gè)句型：

　　It is important for sb. to do something.

　　Ps 4：表示“做某事對(duì)于某人來(lái)說(shuō)有難度。”這個(gè)意思，用下面這個(gè)句型：
