[00:47.84]One day as Pat and Mike were walking down the sidewalk together,
[00:54.00]Pat put his hand on a solid brick wall and said,
[01:00.12]"Mike, hit my hand as hard as you can." Mike struck a hard blow,
[01:09.05]but Pat pulled his hand away from the wall just before Mike's fist hit it.
[01:17.69]Of course, it hurt Mike's hand very much,
[01:23.59]but Pat said, "That was a good joke on you, wasn't it?"
[01:31.12]Mike agreed, but was not too happy.
[01:36.52]The following day Mike and Bob were walking in the town square.
[01:43.61]Mike decided to play the joke on Bob,
[01:48.58]so he looked around, and seeing no solid object,
[01:55.02]he placed his hand over his face and said,
[02:00.89]"Bob, hit my hand as hard as you can." Bob agreed,
[02:08.88]and as he struck a hard blow with his fist,
[02:14.06]Mike quickly pulled his hand away and was knocked to the ground, unconscious.
[02:22.02]After a few minutes Mike recovered, and saw Bob worriedly looking down at him.
[02:30.66]Mike said,"That was a good joke on you, wasn't it?"
[02:37.50]1)Who was not clever?

[02:49.99]3)Who was hurt finally?

[04:24.24]When everybody wants a bit of fun but nothing really happens,
[04:29.53]it is the moment to start one of these tricks.
[04:34.14]You won't need any special materials for these tricks,
[04:39.14]nor will you need to practise them very much.
[04:43.50]A trick with a coin, a handkerchief and a friend:
[04:49.55]Put the coin on your palm. Cover the coin with the handkerchief.
[04:56.06]Ask several people to put their hand beneath the handkerchief and feel the coin,
[05:02.94]to make sure that it is still there.
[05:06.94]Then take the corner of the handkerchief and pull it rapidly off your hand,
[05:13.38]The coin has gone! How? You must make sure the last friend knows the trick!
[05:21.26]Your last friend removes the coin when he or she seems to be just feeling it.
[05:27.64]And nobody knows where it has gone!
[05:32.14]A trick with a piece of paper and a pencil:
[05:37.32]Say that you can communicate your thoughts to people.
[05:42.36]Write on the piece of paper the word, No.

[06:01.08]Ask someone if he or she knows what is written on the piece of paper.
[06:07.02]They will say, "No!" And you say, "Quite correct! I wrote on the paper, No!"
[06:15.30]A Trick with an egg and some salt:
[06:20.34]Ask your friends to stand the egg upright on the table. They won't manage to do it.
[06:27.83]Say that you can speak to the chicken inside.
[06:32.65]Say, "Chicken! Can you hear me? Get ready to balance your egg!"
[06:40.64]When you first get the egg back from your friends,
[06:45.47]pretend to kiss the egg at the base.
[06:50.11]Make the base wet. Then put the base into salt which is in your other hand.
[06:58.14]The salt will stick to the egg. Then put the egg on the table.
[07:05.20]Twist the egg around a few times as this will arrange the grains of salt.
[07:11.75]Then it will stand up. Don't forget to thank the chicken.
