Disciplinary organs of the Communist Party of China (CPC) handled more than 45,000 cases of violations of the eight-point decision on improving Party and government conduct during the first 10 months this year, with more than 63,000 people punished, according to the official website of the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission.

2012年12月4日，中共中央政治局會議審議通過改進工作作風、密切聯(lián)系群眾的八項規(guī)定，具體內(nèi)容包括：要改進調(diào)查研究，切忌走過場、搞形式主義;要輕車簡從、減少陪同、簡化接待。要精簡會議活動，切實改進會風;提高會議實效，開短會、講短話，力戒空話、套話。要精簡文件簡報，切實改進文風，沒有實質(zhì)內(nèi)容、可發(fā)可不發(fā)的文件、簡報一律不發(fā)。要規(guī)范出訪活動，嚴格控制出訪隨行人員，嚴格按照規(guī)定乘坐交通工具。要改進警衛(wèi)工作，減少交通管制，一般情況下不得封路、不清場閉館。要改進新聞報道，中央政治局同志出席會議和獲得應(yīng)根據(jù)工作需要、新聞價值、社會效果決定是否報道，進一步壓縮報道的數(shù)量、字數(shù)、時長。要嚴格文稿發(fā)表，除中央統(tǒng)一安排外，個人不公開出版著作、講話單行本，不發(fā)賀信、賀電，不題詞、題字。要厲行勤儉節(jié)約，嚴格執(zhí)行住房、車輛配備等有關(guān)工作和生活待遇的規(guī)定。

八項規(guī)定見證了黨的建設(shè)在制度方面不斷取得新突破，從嚴治黨不斷邁向新境界。《黨政機關(guān)厲行節(jié)約反對浪費條例》《中國共產(chǎn)黨廉潔自律準則》《中國共產(chǎn)黨紀律處分條例》《關(guān)于新形勢下黨內(nèi)政治生活的若干準則》和《中國共產(chǎn)黨黨內(nèi)監(jiān)督條例》等一系列黨紀法規(guī)相繼出臺施行，構(gòu)建起全面從嚴治黨的長效機制。

堅持以上率下，鞏固拓展落實中央八項規(guī)定精神成果，繼續(xù)整治“四風”問題，堅決反對特權(quán)思想和特權(quán)現(xiàn)象。重點強化政治紀律和組織紀律，帶動廉潔紀律、群眾紀律、工作紀律、生活紀律嚴起來。

Our Party officials should lead by example in consolidating and building on the advances made in implementing the central Party leadership’s eight-point decision on improving Party and government conduct. We should continue to address the practice of formalities for formalities’ sake, bureaucratism, hedonism, and extravagance, and oppose mindsets and acts of privilege seeking. We will focus on strengthening the enforcement of political and organizational discipline, and use this to prompt stricter observance of discipline on upholding integrity, on interacting with the people, and regarding work and life.
