Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has called for deepening the self-reform of the Party in the new era. Xi made the remarks while presiding over a group study session of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau on Monday. Xi stressed that Party members and cadres, especially leading cadres, should have the courage to fight against behaviors that weaken the Party's leadership, shake the Party's governance foundation and violate the Party's political discipline and rules.
