"We wish you a merry Christmas" with pictures of Elvis Tsui seems to be the latest trend among Chinese netizens during this year's Christmas.

徐錦江照片配文“祝你圣誕快樂”似乎成為今年圣誕節(jié)國內(nèi)網(wǎng)友的最新潮流。

徐錦江出生于1961年，是香港的資深演員(Hong Kong veteran actor)，近日因早年與周星馳合作的喜劇電影《九品芝麻官(Hail the Judge)》和《鹿鼎記(Royal Tramp)》中飾演過的形象，而成為最新的網(wǎng)絡(luò)偶像(the latest internet icon)。

由于他所飾的角色與圣誕老人頭戴紅帽、臉蓄白胡(with a red hat and white beard)的人設(shè)碰巧撞上，網(wǎng)友們紛紛玩起了這個梗……

12月24日，“中國圣誕老人(Chinese Santa Claus)”徐錦江被推上新浪微博熱搜榜(most searched hashtags)，其照片在很短的時間內(nèi)被改編成微視頻、動圖和表情包(adapted into video clips and emojis)，一些精明的商家(clever business minds)已在國內(nèi)電商平臺(e-commerce platform)淘寶上推出了相關(guān)的定制產(chǎn)品(tailor-made products)。

12月25日，新浪微博也在其表情列表上添加了徐錦江在電影中所飾角色的圖像(an image of Tsui's character from the film has also been added into the Sina Weibo emoji list)，供用戶選用。

為回應(yīng)網(wǎng)友的熱情(in response to the enthusiasm shown by online users)，現(xiàn)年57歲的徐錦江表示很高興獲得這個新頭銜(get the new title)，并在他的官方微博賬戶上給網(wǎng)友們送上了節(jié)日祝福：

得到“紅帽子白胡子老人”本尊親自回應(yīng)，網(wǎng)友們非常激動，除了送上圣誕祝福還道出了自己的心聲：

"I have been waiting for more than two decades to find the Chinese Santa Claus, and he just appeared. I believe that he is the perfect image in my heart," said a weibo wrote.

一位微博用戶寫道：“我等中國圣誕老人已經(jīng)等了20多年了，他才出現(xiàn)。我相信他是我心中完美的形象。”
