JeSuisCharlie is the French phrase of "I am Charlie (Hebdo)". It is a hashtag, an expression of support for freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and freedom from terror, particularly as a reaction to the January 7, 2015 terrorist attack on the French publisher Charlie Hebdo, most notably the "JeSuisCharlie" button Amal Clooney pinned to her satin Dior clutch on her first Golden Globes red carpet.
