World leaders announced Tuesday they would not meet the July 7 deadline for an Iran nuclear agreement.

周二,世界領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人宣稱他們不會在7.7號會見達(dá)成伊朗核會談協(xié)議。

The six world leaders said a deal with Iran made in April will remain in place until July 10, giving officials more time to reach a final agreement.

Greece has announced it has made "improvements" in its financial plan inhopes of collecting more bailout money.

A Greek official said the plan calls for reforms, investment and debt settlement. Europe’s top finance chief said he expected Greece to formally ask for a new bailout as early as Wednesday.

However, several European leaders expressed anger that Greek PrimeMinister Alexis Tsipras did not present a written plan Tuesday to solve hiscountry's financial crisis.

South Carolina's state Senate passed a bill to remove the Civil War-eraConfederate flag from its state Capitol, where it has flown for more than 50years.

南卡萊羅納州議會通過一項(xiàng)法案,決定在美國國會大廈撤出已飄揚(yáng)50多年的內(nèi)戰(zhàn)時(shí)期的同盟旗幟。

 

The proposal was approved by a 36-3 vote Tuesday in the Republican-controlled Senate. The bill now goes to the South Carolina House of Representatives, where debate will likely begin Wednesday.
