托福聽(tīng)力情景對(duì)話(huà)的“第三者”

　　備考托福的同學(xué)們都知道，每篇Conversation都是一男一女在對(duì)話(huà)，聊的話(huà)題多集中在學(xué)術(shù)論文、圖書(shū)館、課程注冊(cè)或是校園生活類(lèi)的場(chǎng)景。雖然場(chǎng)景不同會(huì)帶來(lái)詞匯、句子內(nèi)容上的一些變化，但是基本上來(lái)說(shuō)Conversation是有很明確的“套路”的。大家有沒(méi)有發(fā)現(xiàn)，每當(dāng)兩人對(duì)話(huà)的時(shí)候，聊到另外的一個(gè)“別人”或者一些“別人”，經(jīng)常會(huì)在這個(gè)地方出一道題。最常見(jiàn)的“別人”無(wú)外乎某個(gè)老師(Professor/Teacher)、某個(gè)導(dǎo)師(Advisor/Chair/Instructor)、同學(xué)朋友(classmate/roommate/friend/student)、甚至某個(gè)家人(Parents/Brother/Cousin)等等。

　　這樣的情境下考試經(jīng)常會(huì)出一道題：

　　Why does the professor mention/discuss/introduce XXX?

　　所以，當(dāng)我們聽(tīng)Conversation聽(tīng)到了“第三者”(指任何一個(gè)或幾個(gè)出現(xiàn)在聽(tīng)力段子中男女主角之外的人物，大多由男女主角自己提起。)，不能輕易忽略，一定要用心聽(tīng)清楚當(dāng)時(shí)聊的是什么，最好能用很少的詞把這個(gè)例子涉及到的話(huà)題簡(jiǎn)單記下來(lái)。

　　Student: The section on dialects, cause…like, that’s the kind of thing that’s always sort of intrigued me, you know? … Well, especially now, cause I’ve got like one roommate who is from the south and another one from New York. And we all talk like totally different, you know?

　　Why is the student interested in learning more about dialects?

　　通過(guò)以上三個(gè)例子，大家不難發(fā)現(xiàn)，但凡聽(tīng)力段子中提到了“第三個(gè)人”，一般來(lái)說(shuō)是考點(diǎn)，不然人家為什么要提到這個(gè)人呢?提到一個(gè)不相關(guān)的人，必然有其目的，所以在以后的聽(tīng)力訓(xùn)練中，如果聽(tīng)到了“第三者”，請(qǐng)同學(xué)們?cè)谀愕墓P記中，記上一筆，人名以首字母的形式寫(xiě)出即可，在記一些關(guān)于這個(gè)人的信息，他的身份，他的主張等與此聽(tīng)力段子主題相關(guān)的話(huà)。但是不用特別詳細(xì)，記點(diǎn)即可。這樣在做題的時(shí)候，當(dāng)出現(xiàn)與此人相關(guān)的考題，大家就不會(huì)出現(xiàn)猜答案的現(xiàn)象了。
