There be句型是英語中常用的重要句型之一，意為“某處有某物或某人”，句子的結(jié)尾往往帶有地點狀語或時間狀語，其中there是引導詞，本身沒有詞義，be是謂語動詞，be后的名詞或代詞是句子的主語。

21-2 There be句型的疑問與否定

1.There be句型的疑問句

There be句型的一般疑問句，須把be移至there之前；其一般疑問句的肯定回答為：Yes，there is/are.否定回答為：No，there isn't/aren't.如：

— Are there any children in the room？房間里有小孩嗎？

— Yes，there are.是的，有。/No，there aren't.不，沒有。

— Are there any boys in your group？你們小組中有男生嗎？

— Yes，there are.是的，有。/No，there aren't.不，沒有。

— Is there anything for me to do？有什么事需要我做嗎？

— Yes，there is.是的，有。/No，there isn't.不，沒有。

注意：

there be句型的特殊疑問句往往省略there，其中的be通常用is，回答時必須用there be來回答，不能省略，其中的be要依據(jù)后面的名詞單復數(shù)確定。如：

— What is （there）in the room？房間里有什么？

— There's a bed and a desk in it.里面有一張床和一張課桌。

— What's on the desk？課桌上有什么？

— There are some books on it.上面有一些書。

2.There be句型的否定句

There be句型的否定句直接在be后加not或no即可。其中There is not可縮寫為There isn't；There are not可縮寫為There aren't。如：

There is not much doubt about his guilt.對他的罪行沒有多少懷疑。

There isn't much life in the small country village.那個小村子里沒有多少生氣。

There is no great difficulty.沒有大的困難。

There is no need to worry.沒有必要發(fā)愁。
