-You can do a movie like A-Team, you could do a movie like the Hangover and it's assignable.
-Right.
-But you're carrying it.
-Right.
-So if this opens on the weekend, and this makes two and a half sense. People might say, oh, Bradley Cooper, did we really want him for Tom Buchanan in The Great Gatsby?
-That's right, but they never did.
-Yeah, I know they never did. But I'm putting that out.
-Good, okay.
-You know, why not, Baz Luhrmann, you know, if you are hearing this, you know here he is. But what pressure does it put on you?
-If the movie doesn't perform, you know what, it's gonna, it's gonna put, it's a marathon. You know, it's still a marathon. That's the great thing about it. But it does change things. It's just gonna be harder to try to convince somebody to rest a
narrative on my shoulders.
-Well I wanna ask you a question, like you ask Sean Penn. You know, but I can only in terms of sequels deal with the Hangover.
-Ok.
-So what was it? 2005, the first one, now you’ve finished the Hangover II?
-Crazy. And it's out in two months.
-It's out in two months. So what was that like?
-It was the hardest film I've ever done.
-Two was the harder?
-The hardest film, harder than A-Team, which at that point was the hardest film, I mean, I tore my hamstring and hit A-Team. We shot for six months. I did get a ridiculous shape, you know in so many ways it was difficult, pales in comparison to Bangkok, ten weeks doing this movie, but it felt like Apocalypse Now, the comedy. I mean, if they could've done like a Hearts of Darkness, you know I mean if Todd Phillips has a wife that was making a documentary, you know…
-Somebody did it.
-Yeah. It was really difficult, it was, that said the script is better than the first one, I think, and I think that Bangkok provides much more material than Vegas even as a setting. And it's all about the setting as you know from the first one. I mean, that is probably the main character in the movie. I'm so excited, Peter, I can't wait for it to come out.
-Did you guys all talk about the Hangover III when you finished?
-I will do it in a heartbeat if it was a good story, you know. And that's the thing we all said we'll do Two but we really worked hard to flush out a good story.
-No.
-We did, yeah. Absolutely.
-I know, I’m sure you did. Because that's what it is in the first one, but, no, after doing one and two, how could you say no to him?
-I wouldn't.
-If he said, if Todd just said, look we'll just wing it.
-Look, I'll do anything he says.
-Yeah, ok, that was the answer to it, that was the one I was looking for.
