相信自己行，才能大膽嘗試，接受挑戰(zhàn)。為此，我們要在回憶過(guò)去成功的經(jīng)歷中體驗(yàn)信心。同時(shí)，更要多做，力爭(zhēng)把事情做成，從中受到更多的鼓舞。在嘗試中，會(huì)有些失敗和錯(cuò)誤。如果我們相信愛迪生所說(shuō)的‘沒(méi)有失敗，只有離成功更進(jìn)一點(diǎn)兒’，那么，對(duì)于前進(jìn)過(guò)程中的問(wèn)題、困難乃至失敗，就能看的淡一點(diǎn)兒，從容應(yīng)對(duì)，把注意力集中到完成任務(wù)上，不斷增強(qiáng)實(shí)力。而實(shí)力，才是撐起信心的最重要支柱。
Sure You Can
Remember when you were a little child trying to learn to walk?
First you had to learn to stand:
a process involving constantly falling down, then getting back up.
You laughed sometimes and cried at other times.
Somehow there was a determination and conviction that you would succeed,
no matter what.
After much practice you finally figure out how to balance yourself,
[00:32.38]a necessary requirement. You enjoyed this new feeling of power
—you’d stand everywhere you could—in your crib, by the couch.
It was a joyous time——you did it! You were in control of you.
Now—the next step—walking.
You’d seen others do it—it didn’t look that hard
—just move your legs while you were standing.
Wrong - more complexity than you ever imagined.
More frustration than anyone should have to deal with.
But you tried, again and again and again until you figured this out.
If people caught you walking, they applauded, they laughed, it was,
"Oh my God, look at what he’s/she’s doing".
This encouragement fueled you on; it raised your self-confidence.
But how many times did you attempt when no one was watching,
when no one was cheering?
You couldn’t wait for someone to encourage you to take the next steps.
You learned how to encourage yourself.
If we could only remember this about ourselves in today’s day.
Remember that we can do anything we set our minds to
if we are willing to go through the process,
just like when we learned to walk.
We don’t need to wait for others to encourage us;
we need to encourage ourselves.
If you’ve forgotten how to do this,
or feel like your self-esteem needs a boost,
take a short journey back through your life
—look at your accomplishments,
no matter if they were large or small
—you met the challenge and figured out a way to succeed.
While going back, look for the little child you once were.
Thank them for never giving up.
As you wave goodbye, remember they will never give up on you.
They have believed in you all of your life!
Now you need to believe in you too!
Remember, today is the best day of your life
because yesterday was and tomorrow may only be.

還記得小時(shí)候?qū)W走路的情形嗎？
首先，你要學(xué)會(huì)站立，在這個(gè)過(guò)程中，你會(huì)反復(fù)地摔倒，站起。有時(shí)你會(huì)高興地大笑，有時(shí)又會(huì)難過(guò)地哭泣。然而，你決心也堅(jiān)信自己無(wú)論如何都能成功。
經(jīng)過(guò)反復(fù)的練習(xí)，最后你找到了保持平衡的辦法，這是一個(gè)必須要掌握的技能。你喜歡這種成功的感覺，只要有機(jī)會(huì)，你就會(huì)站起來(lái)----嬰兒床里，沙發(fā)旁邊。這是一個(gè)由你自己創(chuàng)造的愉快的時(shí)刻。你在主宰著自己。
現(xiàn)在開始進(jìn)行下一步----走路。你看見過(guò)別人走路，看起來(lái)好像不那么難，只不過(guò)是在站著的時(shí)候同時(shí)也移動(dòng)自己的雙腿。事情并非如此，這個(gè)過(guò)程比你想像的難得多。在這個(gè)過(guò)程中你會(huì)遭遇更多的挫折。但是，你還是努力去做，一次又一次，直到最后發(fā)現(xiàn)了走路的秘密。
如果有人看見你在走路，他們就會(huì)為你歡呼，鼓掌，“天呀！看這個(gè)孩子在干什么！”他們的鼓勵(lì)讓你獲得了力量，增加了信心。但是當(dāng)無(wú)人旁觀，無(wú)人喝彩的時(shí)候，你自己已經(jīng)嘗試了多少次呢？你不能等待其他人鼓勵(lì)你繼續(xù)努力，你學(xué)會(huì)了如何自我激勵(lì)。
要是我們現(xiàn)在仍然還記得這段經(jīng)歷那該多好！
記住如果我們?cè)敢饨?jīng)歷像學(xué)習(xí)走路的那個(gè)過(guò)程，我們就可以實(shí)現(xiàn)我們想要取得的目標(biāo)。我們不需要等待別人的鼓勵(lì)，我們需要自己鼓勵(lì)自己。
