As a new way of cerebrating, robbing red envelopes spreads around the country during the Spring Festival. In my point of view, what people should do is not involving themselves in it but caring about things beyond the red envelopes.
Robbing red envelopes exerts a poor influence on people who participate in it. It seems that most of the lucky dogs just put the lucky money into their pockets without thinking where they are from. And there is a consensus that the amount of the envelopes gradually becomes a standard for popularity. As a result, more and more people meaninglessly get crazy about robbing red envelopes. That's why I disapprove of it.
I think things beyond the red envelopes are what really worth caring about. It is universally believed that the red envelopes from the elder can bring happiness and luck. Compared with money, the red paper which is made into envelopes has a further significance. The color red is regarded as a sign of luck. In other words, receiving red envelopes in traditional way means you are blessed. The meaning of robbing red envelopes is to increase the festival atmosphere. But now, it is just a game for fun and seldom do people pay attention to its further meaning. To be frank, no matter how many envelopes you get, the love behind the envelopes is the most important, permanent and deep. As the old saying goes, the supreme happiness of love is the conviction that we are loved.
It may well be a start of the connection between each other to give out red envelopes in a traditional way. But, being busy robbing red envelopes, people are likely to miss the chances.
So, apparently, it's time to stop robbing and do something significant.
