Thank you so much for the present you sent us. We like it very much. I hope you received the Christmas card I sent you. I’m sorry I didn’t buy you a present this year, but I got way behind on my shopping this year, and I didn’t have time to get presents for everyone. I’ll make it up to you next year.
I hope you get to go to Europe this year. You don’t have to get me a souvenir; I wouldn’t want you to waste your time there shopping. But send me a postcard if you can.
You’re right about the importance of keeping in touch. I’ll try to write you more often. Have a Happy Hew Year!
