Through my many complex experiences trying to bring exposure to urban photography, I've dedicated a big part of my life trying to create the superimpositions of several pictures which are an abstract representation of cityscapes and contemporary life from modern metropolises like Rome, New York, Paris, Berlin, and many others.
By juxtaposing different images, my aim is to show how a usual image can be turned into a conceptual one where everything is duplicated, the lights and the structures multiply and build a new vision of urban life. Therefore, I try to feed my inspiration by taking a walk every single day as some sort of a modern flâneur. During these walks, I take street photos of my city or in cities that I am visiting when I’m travelling.
In my everyday life, I always try to look for something beautiful around me. That’s why my project is called “Urban Melodies.” I believe that you can always find something beautiful—whether it is a traffic jam or a building in ruin, I strictly believe that it’s possible to find beauty everywhere.
Once upon a time, I read one particular quote that said: “Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.”
