Not only did he beat cancer twice, but he also chose a winning lottery ticket and bagged himself a multi-million dollar payout.

"I am a very lucky guy," CNN reported him as saying. "I survived cancer twice and here I am. This is amazing."

MacDonald buys a lottery ticket every week. And every week, his wife Claudia tells him the same thing, "get the winning ticket".

When he bought his ticket on September 7, however, she forgot - although it seems MacDonald heeded the advice in any case.
