The Rose 是由Amanda McBroom創(chuàng)作于1978年，由Bette Midler在其領(lǐng)銜主演的《The Rose》(歌聲淚痕)中作為片尾曲首唱，Amanda特別為她配的合聲。影片推出后，獲得了很高的評價，讓Bette Midler奪得了該年度最佳流行樂女歌手的格萊美獎，另外，由于演技精湛，她不僅被提名角逐奧斯卡，更奪得最佳女演員和年度最佳新人等兩座金球獎。
