表。Coldplay由四個二十歲出頭的年輕小伙子組成，1996年時在UCL（University College London）四人相遇，兩年后決定合組此樂團(tuán)。Coldplay樂隊成軍之后的每一張專輯都不斷進(jìn)步，一步一步地擴(kuò)大他們的影響，目前他們正處于事業(yè)的快速上升期。
受到一些搖滾先驅(qū)的影響，Coldplay樂隊的成員從少年時期就拿起了樂器開始音樂表演。Coldplay樂隊的成員都來自普通的工人家庭，ChrisMartin從很小的時候就開始彈鋼琴，15歲開始已經(jīng)混跡于各種樂隊，并且得到過Tom Waits的稱贊。Jon Buckland受到了EricClapto酷玩樂隊寫真集(12張)n以及Jimi Hendrix等吉他大師的影響，從11歲開始彈奏吉他。來自蘇格蘭的GuyBerryman則受到了一些Funk音樂熏陶而拿起了貝司。再加入Coldplay樂隊之前WillChampion曾經(jīng)演奏過吉他，貝司，笛子等各種樂器，但是由于Coldplay樂隊成軍伊始缺少鼓手，所以多才多藝的WillChampion便成為了樂隊鼓手和打擊樂器的人選。
因其第一支單曲《Yellow》而成名，隨后他們的處女作《Parachutes》(降落傘)（2000）曾入圍英國水星音樂獎。后來《A Rush Of Blood To The Head》（心血來潮）（2002）亦獲得NME年度最佳專輯獎等多項大獎。到了第三張專輯《X&Y》（XY密碼）（2005），熱度略有下降，但總的來說依然

很受歡迎。樂隊的第四張錄音室專輯《Viva La Vida》(玩酷人生)（2008），由布萊恩伊諾（Brain Eno）擔(dān)任制作人，并再次大獲好評?？嵬鏄逢牭乃袑］嫸极@得了商業(yè)上的成功。
