12. 包拯

Bao Zheng was a government official who lived in the Northern Song Dynasty. Due to his unparalleled honesty, fairness, integrity and wisdom, Bao is regarded as the personification of justice, an icon of being honest and an upstanding official. Bao handled a number of cases in his legendary life, which was dramatized in many novels, operas and later movies and TV dramas. Most of these stories describe Bao to be honest and upright. They also focus on his determination to fight against government corruption and unique wisdom in settling complicated cases.
