A: how are you doing, Andrew?
 
你最近怎么樣，安德魯？
 
B: not well. I’ve been feeling pretty lonely lately.
 
不怎么樣。我最近覺(jué)得特別孤單。
 
A: but you have so many friends! How could you be lonely?
 
可是，你有那么多朋友！怎么會(huì)覺(jué)得孤單呢？
 
B: you know what they say: a friend to all is a friend to none. I don’t feel like I really know any of my friends. In fact, I should call them acquaintances, not friends.
 
你知道有句俗話是這么說(shuō)的：交游滿天下，知心無(wú)一人。我覺(jué)得我對(duì)自己的朋友們其實(shí)哪一個(gè)都不了解。坦白說(shuō)，我不該管他們叫朋友，而是應(yīng)該叫熟人。
 
A: what about me? I’m your friend.
 
那我算什么呢？我是你的朋友??！
 
B: I know you are, you are my girlfriend. I wish I had a guy friend to hang out with sometimes.
 
我知道你是，可是你是我的女朋友。我希望自己能有個(gè)同性朋友，有時(shí)候可以混在一起消磨時(shí)間的那種。
 
A: I know what you mean. I find it difficult to make new friends, too. It’s not as easy as it was when we were young, is it?
 
我懂你的意思。我也覺(jué)得結(jié)交新朋友不是一件容易的事。不像我們年輕的時(shí)候那么容易，對(duì)吧？
 
B: not at all.

A: I’ve made a lot of new friends since I started learning English. Maybe you could join a club or take a class to make some new friends.
 
我開(kāi)始學(xué)英語(yǔ)以來(lái)認(rèn)識(shí)了不少新朋友。如果你去參加個(gè)俱樂(lè)部或者報(bào)個(gè)班也許就能認(rèn)識(shí)新朋友了。
 
B: that’s a good idea.

B: I’m not sure. I guess I’d like to meet some people who have a positive attitude and want to have a good time.

A: people who play ultimate Frisbee have a positive attitude; maybe you should join the ultimate Frisbee club.
 
玩極限飛碟的人通常都有積極向上的生活態(tài)度，你可以去參加極限飛碟俱樂(lè)部。
