A: well, what did you think about the last candidate? Do you think we should hire her?
嗯, 你對最后一個應聘者有什么看法?你覺得咱們應該錄用她嗎?
B: she had a very impressive resume, but she seemed to lack the confidence that I think a good manager needs.
她的簡歷令人印象深刻,但是她本人似乎有點缺乏自信,這恰恰是一個優(yōu)秀的經(jīng)理所必須的條件之一。
A: what made you think that she wasn’t very confident?
你是怎么看出她缺乏自信的?
B: did you notice the way that she avoided making eye contact with us while she talked?
你有沒有注意到,在談話中她總是回避和我們目光交流?
A: she was a bit nervous, I guess. What else?
我猜她可能有點兒緊張。還有其它理由嗎?
B: when she first walked into the room to greet us, she didn’t shake our hands or introduce herself at all. I thought that was a bit unprofessional.
她初進房間跟我們打招呼的時候,既沒有和咱們握手也沒有做自我介紹。我覺得這種表現(xiàn)有點不專業(yè)。
A: you’re right. If she walked into meeting with our clients like that, it would make our company look bad, wouldn’t it?
你說的有些道理。如果她參與與客戶的會晤也是這種表現(xiàn),可能會有損我們公司的形象,是吧?
B: it sure would. Did you also notice the way she slouched in her chair during most of the interview? She had horrible posture!
肯定是這樣的。你有沒有注意她在面試時大部分時間都是懶洋洋地坐在椅子上。那副姿態(tài)實在是太難看了。
A: I agree. I guess I was paying more attention to her answers than her body language. She didn’t keep enough distance between us during the meeting.
我同意。我想當時我一定是太關注她的問題而忽略了她的身體姿態(tài)。在談話中她沒有跟我們保持足夠的距離。
A: that’s true. I guess we’ll have to keep looking for a manager then.
沒錯,我想咱們還得再繼續(xù)找能擔任經(jīng)理的其他合適人選。
B: don’t worry, we’ll find someone eventually!
別擔心,咱們一定能找到的。
