A: Hi, Katia, how are you?

B: I'm doing good and you Alex?

A: I'm doing good thank you. I have a question for you. Are you on Facebook?
 
我也很好，謝謝。我想問(wèn)你個(gè)問(wèn)題，你有臉譜網(wǎng)賬號(hào)嗎？
 
B: Yes, I am in Facebook but I really do not check very often.
 
有，我用臉譜網(wǎng)，不過(guò)我不經(jīng)常登錄。
 
A: OK, how often do you check it usually?
 
好，你通常多久登錄一次？
 
B: I actually try not to check it very often. It's been taking a lot of my time so right now I check it about, I try once a week during the weekends.
 
我盡量不頻繁登錄。因?yàn)槊看紊夏樧V網(wǎng)我都會(huì)花很多時(shí)間，所以我盡量一周瀏覽一次，通常是在周末。
 
A: OK. I used to be on Facebook a lot before. I was like checking it every day and, you know, posting on my friends' walls and trying to catch up with everybody on Facebook. But then I realised that I was losing a lot of time on it. I was, I don't know if investing is the word, but I was spending a lot of time on it and I kind of like decided to close my wall, because I thought that I was just spending too much time, and it was not really adding anything so, but I don't know if that's the right thing, because sometimes I feel that I need to communicate stuff to my friends and since my wall has been closed for so long, I don't want to kind of like just communicate something there and then just stopped communicating through my wall any more so I don't know how to do it.
 
好。我以前經(jīng)常用臉譜網(wǎng)。我?guī)缀趺刻於家獮g覽臉譜網(wǎng)，在朋友們的留言板上評(píng)論，試圖了解所有人在臉譜網(wǎng)上的動(dòng)態(tài)。不過(guò)后來(lái)我意識(shí)到我在臉譜網(wǎng)上花費(fèi)了太多時(shí)間。我不知道是不是應(yīng)該用投資這個(gè)詞，不過(guò)我在上面花費(fèi)了太多時(shí)間，于是我決定關(guān)閉我的留言板，因?yàn)槲艺J(rèn)為我花費(fèi)了太多時(shí)間，但是沒(méi)有什么用，不過(guò)我不確定這樣做是不是正確的，因?yàn)橛袝r(shí)我感覺(jué)我需要和朋友們交流，不過(guò)我的留言板已經(jīng)關(guān)閉了很長(zhǎng)時(shí)間，我也不想在上面交流了，我不再通過(guò)留言板和人們交流，我不知道要怎么做。
 
B: It has really become an issue hasn't it? You can get lost from what is actually happening around you and live in a virtual world so I'm actually a little bit worried about that, about what is happening and how we live our lives and how we present ourselves to others. I believe that it should be handled differently than it has up to now so maybe you're doing good by closing or, you know, thinking about it at least.
 
這已經(jīng)成為一個(gè)問(wèn)題了，是吧？你可能因?yàn)橹車l(fā)生的事情而迷失，而且你生活在一個(gè)虛擬世界里，所以我對(duì)現(xiàn)在的情況有些擔(dān)心，我也對(duì)我們要如何生活、如何向他人表達(dá)自己感到擔(dān)心。我認(rèn)為應(yīng)該用其他的方式來(lái)解決，而不是像現(xiàn)在這樣，也許你關(guān)閉留言板的做法是正確的，至少你在考慮這件事。
 
A: Yeah.

B: But how much, that you might have to consider.
 
不過(guò)問(wèn)題是要考慮的深度。
 
A: Yeah, that's right. It's very funny how all this communication has changed in the last few years. I remember just four years ago or even five years ago I wasn't on Facebook and all the communication I used to have with my friends was through email or by phone or by meeting you know. But now with Facebook everybody spends so much time on Facebook. Sometimes if you don't publish something on Facebook, it seems that you didn't do anything so I don't know it's just weird.
 
對(duì)，沒(méi)錯(cuò)。近幾年交流方式的變化非常有意思。我記得四五年前，我還沒(méi)有注冊(cè)臉譜網(wǎng)賬號(hào)，我和朋友之間通過(guò)電子郵件、電話或是見(jiàn)面來(lái)交流。但是現(xiàn)在有了臉譜網(wǎng)以后，所有人都會(huì)在臉譜網(wǎng)上花費(fèi)大量時(shí)間。有時(shí)如果你不在臉譜網(wǎng)上更新動(dòng)態(tài)，好像你就什么事都沒(méi)做一樣，我覺(jué)得這太奇怪了。
 
B: Well the question is are you actually more in communication now than you were four or five years ago?
 
那現(xiàn)在你和其他人的交流比四五年前更多嗎？
 
A: I am more in communication with people that I haven't been in touch with for the last ten years let's say. Like all my friends from elementary school that I wasn't really in touch and everybody's now on Facebook and now everybody is updated on what I'm doing or why I do this, what I'm going to do on next vacation, what about my plans for anything so that's a good thing I think. It really depends on how much importance you give to it.
 
我現(xiàn)在和過(guò)去10年沒(méi)有聯(lián)系的人交流的更多了。比如我的小學(xué)同學(xué)，之前我和他們沒(méi)有聯(lián)系，而現(xiàn)在所有人都用臉譜網(wǎng)，會(huì)在臉譜網(wǎng)上更新動(dòng)態(tài)，告訴大家我在做什么，我為什么要做這件事，我下個(gè)假期打算做什么以及我的計(jì)劃等，我認(rèn)為這很好。其實(shí)這要看你有多重視。
 
B: That is true.
