來(lái)聽今天的講解:

 
A: So Erina, I wanted to ask you what kind of bad habits do you have?
 
惠里奈,我想知道你有什么壞習(xí)慣?
 
B: Well it's pretty tough to know what your bad habits are, you know, because it's ususally something that other people see.
 
其實(shí)人們很難知道自己有什么壞習(xí)慣,因?yàn)橥ǔ_@都是其他人發(fā)現(xiàn)的。
 
A: Right.
 
對(duì)。
 
B: And I hear a lot and I go to Starbucks a lot and I have to admit that I do go to Starbucks a lot every time I find time.
 
我經(jīng)常聽別人說(shuō)我去星巴克的次數(shù)太多了,我不得不承認(rèn),我一有時(shí)間就會(huì)去星巴克。
 
A: Right. Some people would say that's not a bad habit but what do you think about that makes it a bad habit?
 
好。有些人會(huì)說(shuō),這并不是個(gè)壞習(xí)慣,不過(guò)你為什么認(rèn)為這是壞習(xí)慣?
 
B: I do waste money, a lot of money on Starbucks and I am not a coffee person. I just like to be in an environment where I can just sit down and drink coffee, I guess.
 
我在星巴克浪費(fèi)了很多錢,我并不熱衷于咖啡。我只是喜歡那種可以靜靜坐著喝咖啡的環(huán)境。
 
A: Understandable, you know, especially in Starbucks and other coffee shops it is, they do a good job of creating a nice atmosphere and it makes people want to stay but then having said that, overspending is definitely a bad habit.
 
這可以理解,尤其是像星巴克和其他的一些咖啡店,他們?cè)跔I(yíng)造良好環(huán)境方面做得非常好,這讓人們想留下來(lái),話雖如此,過(guò)度花費(fèi)肯定是種壞習(xí)慣。
 
B: Yeah, it is for sure a money drainer to go to Starbucks all the time but people know where to find me so I guess that's a good thing.
 
對(duì),總是去星巴克會(huì)浪費(fèi)很多錢,不過(guò)人們可以知道去哪里找我,我想這是好的一方面。
 
A: Yeah, there are always benefits to bad things. Now besides overspending at Starbucks, can you think of any other bad habits that you might have?
 
對(duì),不好的事情也有其好的一面。除了在星巴克過(guò)度花費(fèi)以外,你還能想到你其他的壞習(xí)慣嗎?
 
B: Well, I get this from my husband a lot but I touch my hair all the time apparently but I really don't notice myself doing it so, you know, my husband fidgets a lot and he doesn't notice it and I think it's one of those things that other people will, you know, point at you, you know, point it out what your bad habits are and for me it's apparently touching my hair.
 
嗯,我經(jīng)常聽我丈夫說(shuō),我會(huì)一直撫摸自己的頭發(fā),不過(guò)我自己并沒有意識(shí)到,我丈夫的小動(dòng)作很多,可是他也沒有意識(shí)到,我想這就是那種其他人會(huì)指出的壞習(xí)慣,而我被指出的壞習(xí)慣就是撫摸頭發(fā)。
 
A: Right, I guess that bad habit is kind of in the same category as fidgeting, right?
 
好。我想這種壞習(xí)慣應(yīng)該和小動(dòng)作是一個(gè)分類吧?
 
B: I think so.
 
我想是的。
 
A: Although that might be a calming action for you, for other people it looks like you're nervous or you're not sure what to say so that might be a bad habit that you could work on.
 
雖然對(duì)你來(lái)說(shuō)那可能是種安撫的動(dòng)作,但對(duì)其他人來(lái)說(shuō),他們會(huì)認(rèn)為你有些緊張,或是你不確定要說(shuō)什么,所以這是你可以改掉的壞習(xí)慣。
 
B: Yeah, I can work on it by tying my hair up I guess. Very simple.
 
對(duì),我可以改掉,我可以把我的頭發(fā)綁起來(lái)。非常簡(jiǎn)單。
 
A: Well it's a simple fix.
 
嗯,很簡(jiǎn)單的解決方法。
 
B: Hm, hm.
