Jay : The weather report has been talking about the
typhoon a lot the past couple of days. It seems
like everyone is being very cautious.
Catherine: Yeah, that's because typhoons in the past have

沒了。那一次有許多人在突如其來的洪水中喪生了。商 家的損失更是難以估計。
杰： 哇！聽起來很不妙！
凱瑟琳： 嗯，所以臺風來的時候真的要處處小心，要做好防臺風準備。
杰： 該做些什么準備呢？
凱瑟琳： 你應(yīng)該先在家里儲備兩三天的糧食，臺風來的時候盡量不
要外出。另外也要買一些電池、蠟燭，以備停電可用。
杰： 要是發(fā)大水怎么辦？
凱瑟琳： 你住在十一樓不是嗎？我想就算發(fā)大水，也頂多是被困在
家里幾天，不會有危險的。
杰： 幸好我當初有先見之明住在高樓！不過，要是被困了好幾
天，可能也會無聊死的。
凱瑟琳： 你放心，你不會的，你可以在家里做你最喜歡做的事情，
看電影，睡一整天覺！
