THE HUMAN FLY
1--Did you hear about that guy who climbed a skyscraper?
2--I don't believe I did. Was it on the TV news last night?
1--Uh-huh. This guy-calls himself "the Human
Fly" -- climbed up this skyscraper with nothing
but some big suction cups!
2--I suppose he got arrested.
1--He sure did! As soon as he got to the top of the
building, the cops were there to grab him!
2--And he'll have to pay a fine, of course.
1--In this guy's case it looks as if he might have to go
to jail, too!

注解：
1）skycraper：摩天大樓。
2）I don't believe=I don't think
3）Human Fly：直譯為“具有人類特性的飛蠅。”因?yàn)轱w蠅
是靠腳上吸盤在任何光滑的表面攀沿行走。
4）suction cup：吸盤。
5）cops（俗）=policemen
6）pay a fine；付罰款。fine在此是名詞。亦可作動(dòng)詞用。
如：The police fined him heavily./He was fined $500.
7）jail=prison
