After three weeks at No. 2, "Toy Story 3" reclaimed the top spot at the foreign box office during the weekend, drawing $62 million.

The Pixar cartoon has earned $351 million from 43 markets. Driving the weekend action were record openings in U.K. and Spain. In the U.K., the threequel grossed a huge $30.6 million (including previews), the market's biggest opening ever for an animation title. In Spain, the debut tally was $7.9 million, also an animation market record.

North American champ "Inception" finished at No. 2 overseas with a solid $56.7 million from 38 markets; its early international gross total stands at $84 million.

The sci-fi thriller boasted No. 1 debuts in Japan ($8.9 million), France ($8.1 million), Russia ($6.75 million) and Australia ($6.4 million). Openings in 13 markets, including Germany, are set for this week.

"Salt," which opened at No. 2 in North America, rolled out in 17 secondary markets for a weekend tally of $5.1 million. Director Phillip Noyce's Cold War thriller starring Angelina Jolie as a suspect CIA agent premiered No. 1 in Kuwait, Lebanon, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. It finished second in India, the best opening in the market for a Jolie title. Brazil, Japan, Korea and Russia openings are due this week.

Last weekend's foreign champ, "Shrek Forever After," slipped to No. 3 with $33 million from 57 markets. Its total stands at $361 million amassed since May 20.

Fourth on the weekend was "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," which had no new openings but nonetheless furnished $20.1 million from 69 markets, for an overseas total of $326.4 million. A No. 1 second weekend in Germany provided $4.8 million.

Propelled by a No. 3 opening in Germany ($3.4 million), "Knight and Day" landed $16.2 million from 60 markets, good enough for No. 5. Its overseas total stands at $89.1 million.
