At the English Corner
A: What do you plan to do on Sunday morning?
B: Nothing special.
A: How about going to English Corner with me?
B: Oh, I’d rather not.
A: Why not?
B: You know, I am poor in English, especially at spoken-English. I feel too nervous to speak even in English class, not to speak of in English Corner, when facing more people.
A: That’s why you should go there. If you don’t dare to speak English owing to the fact that you are afraid of making mistakes, you simply will never learn English. To go to the Corner is to give you a good chance to open your mouth to speak. People there are from factories, institutes, colleges, middle schools or even primary schools. Some of them have only learned English for a couple of years.
