5.[A]Tom has arranged to meet his bride Sarah in Hawaii.
[B]A double blessing has descended upon Tom.
[C]Tom was more excited than Sarah at the wedding.
[D]Both Sarah and Tom have been awarded doctoral degrees.
原文:W:Tom is very excited.Just yesterday he received his doctoral degree and in a few minutes he'll putting the ring on Sarah's finger.
M:He's really such a lucky dog!Sarah is a lovely bride and tonight they are going to Hawaii on their honeymoon.
Q:What do we learn from the conversation?
而選項(xiàng)B“A double blessing has descended upon Tom”就可以翻譯成“雙喜臨門”。
16.[A]The man has decided to choose Language Studies as his major.
[B]The woman isn't interested in the psychology of language.
[C]The man is still trying to sign up for the course he is interested in.
[D]The woman isn't qualified to take the course the man mentioned.
原文:M:I'm taking this great course—Psychology of Language. It's really interesting.Since you're a psychology major, you should sign up for it.
W:Actually,I tried to do that, but they told me I have to take Language Studies first.
Q:What do we learn from the conversation?
也就是選項(xiàng)D所說(shuō)的“...isn't qualified to take the course”。
