　　International Women's Day, originally called International Working Women's Day, is marked on March 8 every year, which is a holiday for women in the whole world.Different nations or regions have different celebrations towards this holiday, but their purpose is common, namely appreciating for women's economic, political and social achievements.China started to commemorate this day since 1922, and the first mass commemoration activity was held in Guangzhou in 1924.In December 1949, the Central People's Government Administration Council formally announced for the Women's Day on March 8.With Opening up and progress of society, women are playing an increasingly important role in all fields. We can see their great achievements everywhere.Therefore, this is a day to protect the rights and interests of women as well as praise them outstanding contributions.

　　每年的3月8日定為國際婦女節(jié)，也稱國際勞動婦女節(jié)，這是一個全世界女性的共同節(jié)日。不同的國家和地區(qū)有不同的慶祝方式，但目標都是一樣的，都是為了嘉獎女性對經(jīng)濟、政治和社會所作出的貢獻。我國于1922年開始紀念"三八"節(jié)，中國婦女第一次群眾性的紀念"三八"節(jié)活動是1924年在廣州舉行的。1949年12月，中央人民政府政務院規(guī)定每年的3月8日為婦女節(jié)。隨著社會的開放和進步，女性在各個領域都發(fā)揮著越來越重要的作用，我們隨處可見女性的巨大成就。因此，這不僅是一個保護婦女權益的節(jié)日，也是一個表揚女性突出貢獻的節(jié)日。
