The more haste, the less speed. There is some truth in this old saying. In my view, the saying means that no success is easy to gain, that is to say, success always favors those who are well prepared and make progress step by step.If one lays emphasis only on speed, quality might be neglected, which will keep one away from success. In the course of pursuing success,it's efficiency not speed that we really need.Going forward at a high speed alone is going forward blind.“Achieving twice the result with half the effort” is based on both efficiency and quality.
To know the proverb further, let's take a real story as an illustration. When I was a kid,I loved plants and animals.I once planted a kind of flower which I couldn't figure out its name.I waited eagerly for it to bloom.I was so anxious that I watered the flower many times a day.Eventually, the roots got rotten and I drowned it.What I learnt from it was that I should treat my plant with carefulness and patience,if I really loved it.
In conclusion,on the way to success, one should bring his patience and perseverance with him.Only armed with these qualities can we achieve our good.
