As is vividly shown in the picture，four people are making an attempt to fill a vat with water．Two men are carrying the water while two others are pouring water into the vat．Never have they realized that with so many loopholes at the bottom of the vat，they will never succeed in storing any water unless they mend the loopholes first．

Laughing at their useless efforts at first sight，the picture is bound to bring us some food for thought as we relate it to our own experience．In the process of study，many of us just tend to fill their minds with abundant knowledge，neglecting the mistakes we've made，let alone correct them．Therefore，the increasing holes will finally lead to the leaking out of the knowledge．

There's no doubt that it's imperative to abandon poor study habits and develop good ones．Firstly，while we are under great pressure of obtaining new knowledge，we should correct the mistakes every day．Never should we have the thought that we will never meet with the same problem in the future．Instead，we ought to have a notebook to write down our mistakes．Secondly，only writing down mistakes is far from enough．As we don't have strong memories，we should leaf through the notebook frequently in order to enhancing our master of certain problems．

To put in a nutshell，we should pay attention to the mistakes we've made which are similar to the loopholes in the vat．Only in this way can we make progress in our study and have a good command of knowledge．
