As is shown in the picture，students are divided into several groups，seated together with their group members．In front of each lay an English book．Some of the students are devoted to reading the text while others are discussing the contents in a low voice and still others are taking notes carefully．Sincere smiles spread all over their faces．

When I was a child of that same age，I sat in the classroom，taking notes or copying the content on the powerpoint made by the teacher for most part of the time．I certainly benefited a lot from such teaching methods to get higher test scores，but in the meanwhile，I didn't manage to taste the interest of learning English．

With regard to the reasons mentioned above，I really appreciate having group activities in class to arouse students' interest in learning．First and foremost，it can stimulate their curiosity，which leads them to the palace of knowledge．Once students get curious about a certain subject，they will go on learning it on their own．In the second place，a vivid class may enhance students' long-term memory of the lessons and the texts．Whenever they recall this class，it would be easier for them to remember the knowledge they have obtained．Last but not least，oral English practice is essential for a foreign language learner，which can be involved in such group activities．

In a nutshell，as an excellent teaching method，group activity should be introduced to more teachers and students in order to enable students to gain knowledge in an active and different way．
