可剛走沒多遠，就遇到了山貓。山貓好心地告訴白白：“森林里新來群兇猛的獅子，自己外出一定要當(dāng)心。”話沒說完，就聽見獅子的吼叫。嚇得山貓和白白象箭一般逃回各自的窩里。
這天，雖然再沒聽到第二聲獅吼，但白白卻不敢離窩半步，餓著肚子過了一天。第二天一大早，白白就鉆進了一片蘿卜地。剛把蘿卜挖出來，就被一條大黃狗給撲倒在地。白白使出吃奶勁才從大黃狗嘴里逃脫。但從那以后，只要一聽到狗叫，白白兩腿就發(fā)軟。
不知過了多少天，白白只靠吃窩附近的一些山菜草根充饑。白白感覺自己的身體在逐漸縮小。幾乎沒有山貓大了。
白白下決心：明天無論遇到什么，也一定要找到填飽肚子的食物。
第二天，白白在林子里轉(zhuǎn)了半天，也沒填飽肚子。忽然，聽到一聲槍響，一只碩大的飛鳥從半空中墜落。嚇的白白渾身只打哆嗦。
等它回過神來想逃回窩時，發(fā)現(xiàn)自己已沒多大力氣跑了。最終，白白成了天空中盤旋的一只老鷹的美食。
