第一回他親我，他只是把親吻印在

First time he kissed me, he but only kissed

我常用來(lái)寫詩(shī)的這手的指頭上；

The fingers of this hand wherewith I write;

從此，這手就越來(lái)越潔白，瑩亮，

And ever since, it grew more clean and white,

拙于跟世人打招呼，敏于說(shuō)：“快來(lái)，

Slow to world-greetings, quick with its "Oh, list,"

聽(tīng)天使說(shuō)話！”紫水晶指環(huán)巧戴

When the angels speak. A ring of amethyst

在這手指上，對(duì)我的眼睛來(lái)講，

I could not wear here, plainer to my sight,

初吻比指環(huán)更清晰。第二吻升向

Than that first kiss. The second passed in height

較高的地方，到前額，可一半偏歪，

The first, and sought the forehead, and half missed,

一半落在發(fā)絲上。無(wú)上的酬報(bào)！

Half falling on the hair. O beyond meed !

是愛(ài)神抹的圣油，香氣散開，

That was the chrism of love, which love's own crown,

帶來(lái)圣潔，比愛(ài)神的王冠先到。

With sanctifying sweetness, did precede.

第三吻完美無(wú)瑕，以高貴的儀態(tài)

The third upon my lips was folded down

恰好印在嘴唇上；經(jīng)過(guò)這一遭，

In perfect, purple state; since when, indeed,

我無(wú)比驕傲，說(shuō)，“我的親，我的愛(ài)！”

I have been proud and said, "My love, my own."
