1. Take a guess

單說(shuō)Take a guess，英文里就是讓別人來(lái)猜猜看。你也可以把它用在你的回答中，表示只是一種猜測(cè)，別太當(dāng)真就好。

例：If I had to take a guess, I'd say she's 30.

如果一定讓我猜的話，我覺(jué)得她得有30歲了。

2. At a guess

人家一開(kāi)口，你聽(tīng)到了at a guess，就知道對(duì)方是在猜測(cè)了。這個(gè)短語(yǔ)要表達(dá)的是“大約、估計(jì)”的意思。

例：At a guess, there were forty people at the party.

我猜，有40人參加了派對(duì)。

3. Chances are...

猜測(cè)總會(huì)有很多種可能，想要說(shuō)出你認(rèn)為的那種可能，就用Chances are來(lái)引導(dǎo)吧!

例：Chances are she has already heard the news.

我猜她八成已經(jīng)聽(tīng)說(shuō)了。

4. (Right) off the top of one's head

不假思索，也不用知道太多，一個(gè)猜想就直接冒出來(lái)了，靈光乍現(xiàn)的趕腳，有木有?這時(shí)，你可以使用上面這個(gè)短語(yǔ)。

例：-How much do you think this car would be worth on a trade?

你覺(jué)得這車要是賣的話多少錢?

-Well, right off the top of my head, I'd say about a thousand.

呃... 我猜大概1000塊。

5. Shot in the dark

大黑天的亂放一槍，你擊中目標(biāo)的可能性太小了。這個(gè)短語(yǔ)借此比喻碰運(yùn)氣、是瞎猜噠!

例：We had nothing to go by. It was a shot in the dark, but it turned out right.

我們沒(méi)什么根據(jù)，不過(guò)是瞎猜，結(jié)果還猜對(duì)了。
