MONDAY: For sale: R.D. Jones has one sewing machine1 for sale. Phone 948-0707 after 7 pm and ask for Mrs. Kelly who lives with him cheap.

TUESDAY Notice: We regret having erred2 in R.D. Jones' ad yesterday. It should have read "One sewing machine for sale cheap. Phone 948-0707 and ask for Mrs. Kelly, who lives with him after 7 pm."

WEDNESDAY Notice: R.D. Jones has informed us that he has received several annoying telephone calls because of the error we made in the classified3 ad yesterday. The ad stands corrected as follows: "For sale - R.D. Jones has one sewing machine for sale. Cheap. Phone 948-0707 after 7 pm and ask for Mrs. Kelly who lives with him."

THURSDAY Notice: I, R.D. Jones, have no sewing machine for sale. I smashed4 it. Don't call 948-0707 as I have had the phone disconnected. I have not been carrying on with Mrs. Kelly. Until yesterday she was my housekeeper but she quit!

星期三更正啟事：瓊斯先生通知我們，昨天分類(lèi)廣告刊登錯(cuò)誤，導(dǎo)致他接到幾通騷擾電話。更正如下：廉讓——瓊斯先生有一臺(tái)縫紉機(jī)出售，低價(jià)，晚上七點(diǎn)后請(qǐng)電洽與他同居的凱利太太，948-0707。

星期四警告啟事：我是瓊斯本人，我沒(méi)有縫紉機(jī)要出讓?zhuān)乙呀?jīng)把它摔爛了！不要再打948-0707這個(gè)號(hào)碼，我已經(jīng)把電話線拔掉了。我和凱利太太沒(méi)有私人關(guān)系——她是我的管家，不過(guò)昨天已經(jīng)辭職了！
