6. A horrible e-mail

A couple from New York decided to go to Florida for a weekend to warm themselves up during one icy cold winter. It was decided that the husband would fly to Florida on a Thursday, and his wife would follow him the next day. Upon arriving as planned, the husband checked into the hotel. There he sent his wife an e-mail. However, he accidentally left off one letter in her address and sent it out.

In the mean time: in Houston, a woman had just returned from her husband's funeral1. He had been "called home to glory" following a heart attack. The woman checked her e-mail, expecting messages from family and friends. Upon reading the first message, she fainted2 and fell to the floor. Her son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My loving Wife

From: Your Departed Husband

Subject: I've arrived!

I've just arrived and have been checked in. Everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then. Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

在一個冰冷的冬天，一對紐約夫婦決定去佛羅里達(dá)過一個溫暖的周末。他們決定丈夫周四先飛往佛羅里達(dá)，妻子第二天過去。按計劃到達(dá)后，丈夫住進(jìn)了賓館。在賓館他給妻子發(fā)了一封電子郵件。然而，他在輸入妻子郵址時漏了一個字母，信就這么發(fā)了出去。

與此同時，在休斯頓，一女子剛剛從丈夫的葬禮上回來。丈夫由于心臟病發(fā)作回到了上帝的懷抱。她查看了一下郵箱，希望有親人和朋友的信件。但讀完第一封信，她就暈倒在地板上了。她兒子沖進(jìn)房間，發(fā)現(xiàn)媽媽躺在地板上，而電腦屏幕上閃爍著這樣的內(nèi)容：

致：我親愛的妻子

發(fā)件人：你離開了的丈夫

主題：我已經(jīng)到了！

我剛到并已經(jīng)入住了。我已經(jīng)安排好一切，就等你明天來了。期盼著到時見到你。希望你的行程和我一樣順利。

另：這兒真的很熱。
