A Bad Day

A police offlcer in a small town stopped a motorist who was speeding down Main Street．“But offlcer，”the man began，“I can explain．”

“Just be quiet，”snapped the officer．“I’m going to let you cool your heels in jail until the chief gets back．”

“But，officer，I just wanted to say...”

“And I said to keep quiet！You’re going to jail！”

A few hours later the officer looked in on his prisoner and said，“Lucky for you that the chief’s at his daughter’s wedding．He’ll be in a good mood when he gets back．”

“Don’t count on it，”answered the fellow in the cell．“I’m the groom．”

倒霉的一天

小鎮(zhèn)上的一位警官攔下了一個(gè)摩托車手，因?yàn)樗谥鞲傻郎铣傩旭偂?ldquo;但是，警官，”那人辯解道，“我必須解釋一下。”

“閉嘴，”警官不耐煩地說(shuō)，“我準(zhǔn)備讓你在監(jiān)獄里待上一段時(shí)間，直到局長(zhǎng)回來(lái)。”

“但是，警官，我只是想說(shuō)……”

“我告訴你，閉嘴！你必須進(jìn)監(jiān)獄！”

幾個(gè)小時(shí)以后，警官來(lái)看他的這位囚犯，說(shuō)道：“你的運(yùn)氣來(lái)了，我們局長(zhǎng)正在參加他女兒的婚禮。他回來(lái)時(shí)一定會(huì)情緒很好。”

“別指望了，”牢房里的那家伙答道，“我是他女兒的新郞。”
