一個(gè)深秋的晚上,兩個(gè)男孩撿了一袋栗子準(zhǔn)備到墓地里去平分。在進(jìn)去的路上,一個(gè)男孩不小心把袋子掉在了地上,兩顆栗子滾了出去。“我們過(guò)會(huì)兒再來(lái)找。”他說(shuō)。他們就進(jìn)去分其余的栗子。在他們分栗子時(shí),碰巧有一個(gè)小姑娘從墓地穿過(guò)。她驚恐萬(wàn)分地聽(tīng)到樹(shù)叢后面有個(gè)聲音在說(shuō):“你一個(gè),我一個(gè),你一個(gè),我一個(gè)!”她嚇得急忙跑到門(mén)口,正撞上一個(gè)警察。警察見(jiàn)她萬(wàn)分恐懼,就問(wèn):“小姑娘,出了什么事了?”
"Oh, Mr. Policeman!" She wailed, "there're ghosts in the graveyard, and they're sharing out the dead bodies! Listen!”
“噢,警察先生。”她哭著說(shuō),“墓地里面有鬼,他們?cè)诜炙朗?你聽(tīng)!”
And as she held a trembling finger to her lips they heard a voice say, "one for you, one for me. And we mustn’t forget those two by the gate!”
她把顫抖的手指豎在嘴唇前,這時(shí)他們聽(tīng)見(jiàn)一個(gè)聲音說(shuō):“你一個(gè),我一個(gè),咱們可別忘了門(mén)口那兩個(gè)!”
