Bob is almost 30 years old, his friends have already gotten married1 one after another, and Bob just dates and dates.

Finally a friend asked him, "What's the matter, Bob, are you looking for a perfect woman? Are you that particular2? Can't you find anyone who suits you?"

"No," Bob replied. "I met many nice girls, but as soon as I brought them home to meet my parents, my mother didn't like them. So I kept on looking!"

"Listen." his friend suggested3, "Why don't you find a girl who's just like your dear mother?"

Several months went by and again Bob and his friend got together.

"So Bob. Did you find the perfect girl yet? One that just like your mother?"

Bob shrugged4 his shoulders, "Yes, I Found one just like mom. My mother loved her, they became fast friends."

"So are you and this girl engaged5?"

"I am afraid not, my father can't stand her!"

鮑勃快三十了，朋友們一個(gè)接一個(gè)都結(jié)婚了，而鮑勃還老是約會(huì)，約會(huì)。

一個(gè)朋友忍不住問：“鮑勃，你怎么回事兒，你是在找一個(gè)十全十美的女人嘛?你怎么那么挑剔?連一個(gè)合適的都找不到?”

“不是，”鮑勃回答。“我遇到很多好女孩，但是只要帶回家見父母，我媽媽都不喜歡，所以我還在尋覓!”

“聽著，”他朋友建議，“為什么不找一個(gè)像你媽媽的?”

幾個(gè)月后鮑勃和朋友又見面了。

“鮑勃，找到完美女友了嗎?像你媽媽那樣的?”

鮑勃聳了聳肩，“是的，我找了一個(gè)像我媽的，我媽挺喜歡她，很快她們就成了朋友。”

“你和這個(gè)女孩訂婚了嗎?”

“還沒有呢，這個(gè)女孩我爸受不了!”
