拜登:爭取8月31日前完成撤軍

US President Joe Biden on Tuesday told Group of Seven leaders the US aimed at completing Afghan evacuation by Aug 31, while asking for contingency plans to adjust the timeline if necessary.

美國總統(tǒng)拜登8月24日在七國集團阿富汗問題視頻峰會上表示，美國的目標是在8月31日前完成從阿富汗撤離的行動，他同時要求有關部門制定應急方案，以便必要時調整時間表。

Biden attended a virtual G7 summit over Afghanistan earlier in the day, which "he confirmed we are currently on pace to finish by Aug 31," White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said in a statement. "He also made clear that with each day of operations on the ground, we have added risk to our troops with increasing threats from ISIS-K," she said, referring to the local affiliate of the Islamic State. "And that completion of the mission by Aug 31 depends on continued coordination with the Taliban, including continued access for evacuees to the airport."
