Which is why the Hawks, who are into the second year of their roster rebuild, signed Carter to a one-year contract in July.

Terry, who moved to shooting guard in the 2006-07 season, saw his 3-point percentage fall to a still respectable 34.8 percent last season. But in 2016-17, he recorded the second-highest 3-point percentage of his career at 42.7 percent.
