奧運(yùn)狂人：中國(guó)大爺騎三輪去里約

中國(guó)健兒正在里約拼搏奮戰(zhàn)，而在賽場(chǎng)之外，有一位中國(guó)大爺也在用自己的方式宣傳奧林匹克精神。今年60歲的江蘇農(nóng)民伯伯陳冠明從2008年開(kāi)始騎著三輪車宣傳奧運(yùn)精神。北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)之前，他騎著三輪走遍中國(guó);2012年倫敦奧運(yùn)會(huì)，他花了兩年時(shí)間騎三輪車到倫敦。今年里約奧運(yùn)會(huì)開(kāi)幕之前，他先乘飛機(jī)到加拿大，再?gòu)哪抢矧T著三輪輾轉(zhuǎn)到達(dá)里約。如今，陳冠明大爺儼然也是一位奧運(yùn)明星了。

This year at the Olympic games in Rio, you might stumble across a pretty interesting sight outside of the various stadiums holding competitions around the city.

今年里約奧運(yùn)會(huì)期間，你可能會(huì)在各個(gè)比賽場(chǎng)館外面碰到一個(gè)奇特的場(chǎng)景。

Meet Chen Guanming, a 60-year-old Chinese farmer who pedalled his rickshaw all the way from China to Rio. He calls himself “Olympic madman,” and surely he deserves it: this is the third Olympic Games he rode to.

為大家介紹陳冠明，60歲的中國(guó)農(nóng)民，一路騎著三輪車從中國(guó)來(lái)到里約。他把自己稱為“奧運(yùn)狂人”，當(dāng)然這個(gè)稱呼他也當(dāng)?shù)闷穑哼@已經(jīng)是他騎著三輪車參加的第三屆奧運(yùn)會(huì)了。

Brazilians welcomed him with the best friendship and a splendid show after he arrived Rio a week earlier.

一周以前他到達(dá)里約時(shí)，巴西人民用最友好的方式和一場(chǎng)盛大的表演對(duì)他表示歡迎。

Seventeen years ago, he embarked the crazy adventure as an Olympics chaser: he toured around China before attending the Beijing Olympics in 2008, then made it to London in 2012, and now he’s in Rio. He plans to finish his global journey in Tokyo for the 2020 Olympics.

17年前，他開(kāi)始了瘋狂的奧運(yùn)追逐之旅：2008年北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)之前，他走遍了中國(guó)，之后又去了2012年的倫敦奧運(yùn)會(huì)，現(xiàn)在，他又來(lái)到了里約。他計(jì)劃在2020年?yáng)|京奧運(yùn)會(huì)時(shí)結(jié)束他的環(huán)球之旅。

He doesn’t really have money, but strangers he met on the road have been pouring support to him: a heart-felt encouragement, a warm meal, or a lift up a hill — the rickshaw, his good buddy, carries all his luggage and weighs as heavy as 400 pounds.

他其實(shí)沒(méi)什么錢，但一路上遇到的陌生人給他許多幫助：真心的鼓勵(lì)，一頓熱飯，或者幫忙把三輪車抬上山。他的老伙計(jì)三輪車裝載著他全部的行李，重達(dá)400磅(約為181公斤)。

Zsofia Korodi, a Hungarian living in London, set up a Facebook fan page after being “inspired by his actions,” so that supporters keep track of him.

居住在倫敦的匈牙利人Zsofia Korodi受其鼓舞專門為他在臉書上建了個(gè)粉絲頁(yè)面，這樣，他的支持者們就可以追蹤他的行程了。

That way his journeys are pieced together, and people call out the next town to look out and take care of him.

When there’s water to cross, people he met fly him over, and he will patiently wait for the rickshaw to arrive by ship.

Chen spent two years, traveled almost 40,000 miles to get to the London Olympics. For Rio, he hopped a plane to Canada and then made his way from Canada through the US, South America to Rio.

前往倫敦奧運(yùn)會(huì)時(shí)，陳冠明花了兩年時(shí)間，總共走了將近4萬(wàn)英里(約6.4萬(wàn)公里)。這次里約奧運(yùn)，他先乘飛機(jī)到加拿大，然后一路從加拿大穿過(guò)美國(guó)和南美地區(qū)到達(dá)里約。

Chen said he does it all to promote the Olympic spirit. “My biggest hope is to encourage the vulnerable, the weak, and those who are afraid of challenges.”

陳冠明說(shuō)他做這一切都是為了宣傳奧林匹克精神。“我最大的愿望是希望鼓勵(lì)到那些弱者和那些畏懼挑戰(zhàn)的人。”

In Rio, he’s apparently becoming an Olympic celebrity — a sportsman that compete out of the fields, with himself.

在里約，他儼然已經(jīng)成了奧運(yùn)名人，他是在賽場(chǎng)外跟自己比賽的運(yùn)動(dòng)員。

And gets stopped wherever he goes to take pictures.

無(wú)論走到哪里都會(huì)被攔下來(lái)要求拍照。

Even though he couldn’t watch the games at the scene, he’s completely happy by helping to pick trash and clean the surrounding areas of the stadiums. That’s what the Olympics are about, to use his own words, “to challenge the boundaries, to compete in a friendly manner, and to win the honor of the higher calling.”

雖然不能到場(chǎng)館里觀看比賽，但他依然開(kāi)心地在場(chǎng)館周邊撿拾垃圾，清掃地面。這就是奧運(yùn)會(huì)的意義，用他自己的話說(shuō)，就是“挑戰(zhàn)極限，友好比賽，贏得更高的榮譽(yù)。”
