Angelababy成美國野生救援組織最年輕的公益大使

　　Chinese actress Yang Ying, better known by her stage nameAngelababy, has become the youngest ambassador for WildAid,an environmental organization that focuses on reducing thedemand forwildlife products.

　　中國女演員楊穎--更為人知的是其藝名Angelababy，近日成為美國野生救援組織最年輕的公益大使。該協(xié)會是一個重點關(guān)注減少野生動物產(chǎn)品需求的環(huán)保組織。

　　While lending a hand to the official launch of the"Protecting Pangolins" campaign inChina,Angelababy explains why she thinks this is a worthy cause.

　　Angelababy參加了在中國開展的“保護穿山甲項目”的新聞發(fā)布會，并解釋了她為何認為這是一個很有意義的行動。

　　"Many years ago, people had no idea consuming tusk products and shark fins would actually killelephants and sharks. With the awareness campaigns over the years, people gained moreknowledge and gradually stopped eating and buying those things. At least the people around memostly know right from wrong now. So I think raising awareness is hugely important."

　　“很多年以前，人們并不知道消費象牙制品和魚翅實際上會使大象和鯊魚死亡。隨著近年來人們這方面的意識的提高，對這類知識了解的更多，慢慢地人們不再吃魚翅、買象牙制品了。至少我周圍的人大多都能明辨是非了。所以我認為提高意識是極為重要的。”

　　Angelababy also admits that prior to her involvement in this campaign, she did not know toomuchabout pangolins, also known as scaly ant-eaters. Four species of the mammal live in Asia, with twoin Africa.

　　Angelababy還透露，在她參加這個活動以前，對穿山甲并沒多少了解，也不知道它有個別名叫“食蟻獸”。目前共有四種穿山甲生活在亞洲，另有兩種生活在非洲。

　　"Like you said, pangolins are both familiar and strange to us. I never saw a pangolin with my owneyes, I just knew the name. With this campaign, I got to learn some basic facts about the animal.For example, their scales are not magic medicine that can cure all kinds of diseases.Also, their meatcontains parasites, and eating it can actually harm our health."

　　“正如你們所說的那樣，穿山甲對我們來講，即熟悉又陌生。我從來沒有親眼看到過穿山甲，只是知道這個名字。通過這個活動，我開始了解到關(guān)于這種動物的一些基本知識。比如，它的鱗片并不是包治百病的神藥，并且，它的肉里含寄生蟲，吃穿山甲對身體是有害的。”

　　Angelababy says it is a great honor to take on the role as the ambassador and give voice toananimal that needs more protection. She calls on all her fans to stop consuming pangolin-relatedproducts and help spread the word.

　　Angelababy表示，自己非常榮幸能擔當這一公益大使，并為需要保護的動物代言。此外，她還呼吁粉絲們停止消費與穿山甲相關(guān)的產(chǎn)品，并幫助她將這些擴散出去。
