　　1. allow

　　v. 承認(rèn) admit

　　e.g. We must allow that he is right on this matter.

　　2. address

　　v. 處理 to deal with

　　e.g. address the issue of absenteeism 處理缺勤事宜

　　3. appreciate

　　v. 意識到 =realize; 太高…價格，漲價

　　e.g.

　　I appreciate that I maybe wrong.

　　This land has appreciated in value.

　　4. apprehension

　　n. 憂慮、擔(dān)心;逮捕、理解

　　e.g. The student looked around the examination room with apprehension. 那名學(xué)生恐懼地觀看檢查室的四周。

　　5. apprehensive

　　adj. 理解的，不安的，憂慮的 [意思和用法等同于 afraid]

　　e.g. apprehensive for sb.’s safety. 擔(dān)心某人的安全

　　6. approach

　　v. 著手 to begin to deal with or work on

　　e.g. approached the task with dread. 惶恐地開始著手這項(xiàng)任務(wù)

　　7. arch

　　adj. 調(diào)皮的，頑皮的 n. 弓形

　　e.g.

　　an arch smile

　　He tapped the side of his nose in an uncharacteristically arch gesture.

　　8. argument

　　e.g. Support your argument by quote, please.

　　9. not so much…as

　　not so much … as：“與其說……倒不如說”，否定前者肯定后者

　　e.g.
