在Copeland眼中，只有這樣的歌才是一首不折不扣的好歌，這也是他們測(cè)試自創(chuàng)歌曲的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。Copeland是一支來(lái)自佛羅里達(dá)的樂(lè)隊(duì)，簽約于獨(dú)立廠牌MilitiaGroup。“天使般的聲音”——MilitiaGroup官方網(wǎng)站上如此評(píng)價(jià)Marsh的唱腔。一個(gè)男人的聲音被說(shuō)成像天使一樣，不知各位能不能想象出來(lái)。不過(guò)這并不說(shuō)明Marsh聲音性別模糊，相反，Marsh陽(yáng)剛氣十足，也不乏激情，被說(shuō)成像天使，只能說(shuō)Marsh的聲音太純了，沒(méi)有摻雜任何的雜質(zhì)。雖然Copeland成立于2000年，可它們的debut“Beneath Medicine Tree”2003年才發(fā)行，之前曾發(fā)行了一系列的單曲和EP，可以說(shuō)，“Beneath Medicine Tree”是一張厚積薄發(fā)的專輯。Marsh說(shuō)：“With Beneath Medicine Tree, I wanted to make a record that moves people”在我看來(lái)，Marsh確實(shí)做到了。美妙的旋律，華麗的背景，構(gòu)成了“Beneath Medicine Tree”的基礎(chǔ)。在Marsh動(dòng)情的聲音中，電吉他、急速的鼓聲變得不再嘈雜，染上了委婉動(dòng)人的色彩。而適時(shí)出現(xiàn)的木吉他優(yōu)美旋律更加深了感人的力度。
