With an area of over 3.5 hectares, Hitachi Park is always lively because of the flower fields blooming all year round. Each hill is dominated by a different type of flower, and they take turns to bloom each season.

Every year, the park hosts the Hanami Nemophila festival - a flower viewing festival. Overwhelmed by the blue of the Nemophila flower hills is the feeling of most visitors coming here on every festival. Every year, from early April to May, when summer comes, millions of lovely Nemophila flowers dye the hillsides blue.

About 25cm high, Nemophila flower has a beautiful shape, with different colors ranging from blue to purple. Standing among the flower hills, one feels like being in the middle of the vast blue ocean.

Also in the summer, there is another kind of flower blooming. By June, more than 4,000 flowers of 140 different types of roses bloom.

This is a hill of Kochia bushes when they are green - a place not to be missed in Hitachi park. Known for its stamina, Kochia can tolerate drought, even the most salty or nutrient-poor soil. Depending on living conditions, they can be up to 6 feet (about 1.8m) tall.

In the fall, when Kochia bushes mature, they gradually turn red.

Around late September and early October is the best time to see Cosmos flowers. When the cosmos flower color fills Miharashi hill, it is the time when visitors feel the cool autumn here.

By artificial means, the flower seeds were refrigerated until November and planted in the natural environment afterwards to serve the need of enjoying flowers at Christmas.

Besides the flowers typical for each season, the park also grows a variety of flowers such as lilies, cypress and many other flowers.

Bellflowers are planted next to tulips, daffodils. The petals are purple, creating a beautiful effect.
