今晚

on my flight from Indianapolis to Baltimore

在我乘飛機(jī)回巴爾的摩的途中

I sat next to an unaccompanied minor

我坐在一個(gè)不認(rèn)識(shí)的小女孩旁邊

who was traveling to Baltimore to see her Mother.

她乘飛機(jī)去巴爾的摩看媽媽

With Southwest Airlines open seating

西南航空的班機(jī)上，乘客可以隨意選座

anyone could have sat next to her,

任何人都可能坐在她旁邊

in fact many people avoided her

事實(shí)上，很多人避開了她

and her boundless energy during boarding.

因?yàn)榈菣C(jī)的時(shí)候，她就展現(xiàn)出了無窮無盡的活力

But finally,

不過，最后

a couple occupied the two seats to her right.

一對(duì)情侶選擇了小女孩右邊的座位

Within minutes the young girl began chatting

不到幾分鐘，小女孩就開始跟他們交談

and the couple likely realized this wouldn’t be a relaxing flight

這對(duì)情侶也似乎意識(shí)到，這大概不會(huì)是一趟安寧的旅行...

and they just rolled with it.

他們選擇跟女孩一起玩樂

As drinks were being served

飲料送了上來

the couple didn’t even get a chance to voice their requests

這對(duì)情侶還沒機(jī)會(huì)說出自己想要喝的

because they were cut off by the young girl stating,

因?yàn)榕⒁呀?jīng)義正言辭的開口，打斷了他們兩的話頭

‘I’ll take water with a straw

我要清水，加一根吸管

and so will they

他們一樣

so we can paint!’.

這樣我們就能畫畫了

And they just rolled with it.

Within minutes

不到幾分鐘的時(shí)間

the young girl had brought out her Hello Kitty paint sheets

小女孩拿出了自己的彩繪板

and the couple spent the next hour following her instructions

接下來的一個(gè)小時(shí)里，這對(duì)情侶都按照小女孩的指示畢恭畢敬的作畫

As I type this

當(dāng)我寫著這篇文章的時(shí)候

the man next to her is being covered with Marvel stickers.

坐在小女孩身邊的大哥哥滿臉貼滿了貼紙

They are on his ears, in his beard, arms, everywhere.

他的兩只耳朵，大胡子，還有胳膊上隨處可見貼紙

And he is just rolling with it.

他卻欣然接受

Moral of the story:

這個(gè)故事告訴我們

There is good in this world.

世界上總有善良的人

In fact, there is more good than bad in this world

事實(shí)上，世界上的好人比壞人多

if we just open our eyes to it.

睜開眼睛，你就會(huì)看到

There isn’t a script or instruction manual for love.

愛沒有劇本，也沒有操作說明書

You just have to roll with it.
