Man Accidentally Blows Up His Entire Backyard While Trying To Get Rid Of Cockroaches

Let’s be honest, nobody enjoys when their home gets infested by cockroaches. Not only do these insects make many of us squeamish, they are also resilient and fast-breeding, making them the most unwanted guests in our homes and gardens. But getting rid of cockroaches is not easy and a Brazilian man named Cesar Schmitz learned that the hard way, after his attempt resulted in an explosion.

Last week, after being fed up with the insects, 48-year-old Schmitz decided to take matters into his own hands and get rid of the cockroaches once and for all. The man told On News: “My wife complained that there were a lot of roaches invading our garden. She is scared of them and begged me to destroy their nest under the ground once and for all.”

上周,48歲的施密茨受夠了蟑螂,決定親自動(dòng)手徹底消滅它們。這名男子在接受新聞采訪時(shí)說(shuō):“我妻子抱怨說(shuō),有很多蟑螂爬進(jìn)了我們的花園。她害怕它們,求我一勞永逸地毀掉它們?cè)诘叵碌某惭ā?rdquo;

The first step Schmitz decided to take is to use a poisonous spray in hopes that it will be enough to kill the unpleasant insects. However, it didn’t seem to work, as cockroaches started fleeing out of their burrow.

So he decided to try another solution – burn their nest to the ground. With his two dogs right beside him, the man used some gasoline and began tossing one burning match after another until a huge explosion tore his whole yard apart.

The man was obviously left in shock while his dogs ran for their lives. Fortunately, nobody got hurt during the incident, well, except for the cockroaches – they weren’t so lucky this time.

While the incident helped to get rid of the roaches and produced quite a funny video, we definitely do not recommend attempting it yourself, even Schmitz regrets it now. “I wish I’d thought this through before. I had no idea that this could happen. Luckily, the damage was only contained on the lawn. If I had been standing closer or the table had hit me, it could have been fatal.”
