Hello again everyone.
Thanks for all of your ‘supportive’ 支持messages following my previous blog posting.
It’s good to see that you all have a good sense of humour 幽默感and that my colleague’s jokes are appreciated by you.
Anyway, today I want to talk about New Year’s Resolutions.
If you don’t know what they are, I will explain.
At this time of year people in the UK often try to find ways to make their lives better or to improve themselves.
Typically the kind of thing that people do is to try to give up 戒掉a bad habit such as smoking or eating unhealthy 不健康 food.
Alternatively we might decide to do some improving activity like learning a new language.
Do people do this kind of thing in China?
Are they successful in their endeavours 努力,奮力.
Unfortunately 不幸的是, for most people in the UK New Year’s resolutions are a short-lived affair 短暫的時(shí)光, and after a little time they back to their bad old ways.
So what about me? What am I going to do to improve myself?
Well, I have decided not to drink any beer for a month!
Why? So that I don’t end up 最終結(jié)局是looking like a certain character 角色 from a certain BBC soap opera 肥皂劇.
I think you all know who I’m talking about!!!
So what about you guys?
What bad habits should you give up? And what improving activities should you take up 開始參加?
Let me know and I’ll give praise to the best answer.
Have a great week all!
Diarmuid
